Professor Brendan Fernandes named recipient of Tiffany Foundation Award

Brendan Fernandes, artist-in-residence and professor at Northwestern University, was nominated and selected to receive the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award.
This award is given every two years by a jury of professionals in the art sector. Fernandes and other recipients were selected for their talent and artistic strength, and for the promise they show. Through this grant, Fernandes and others in this cohort will have the opportunity to create new art and continue to develop their skills.
Professor Fernandes works in the intersection of dance and visual arts. His projects address issues of race, queer culture, migration, protest, and other forms of collective movement.
