Professor Emeritus Erwin Goldberg of the Department of Molecular Biosciences discusses his research and career development in an interview in the journal Biology of Reproduction (March 2021).
In the interview, Goldberg describes the impetus for going into the field of Reproductive Biology and shares who inspired him the most in his career development. He also shares the most impactful event in his career development and the most significant discovery that his lab has made.
Goldberg also describes his philosophy in training and mentoring young scientists and offers advice to the younger generation of reproductive biologists.
Goldberg joined Northwestern University in 1963, retiring in 2013. He is the Vice President/President-Elect of the Northwestern Emeriti Organization.
