April 1, 2021

Professor Daniel E. Horton of the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences and members of his research group will present their findings at The Planetary Health Annual Meeting, during Planetary Health Week (April 25-30, 2021). The meeting aims to gather experienced individuals and groups to analyze the consumption of food, energy, and resources globally for improvement in human and global health.
Horton’s research team presentations include:
- Health benefits of electrifying the municipal vehicle fleet in Chicago by Ph.D. candidate Stacy Montgomery
- Climate’s influence on malaria in Mozambique by Ryan Harp, Ph.D.
- Air quality and public health benefits of EV adoption in China by Jordan Schnell, Ph.D.
The meeting aims to gather together experienced individuals and groups to analyze the consumption of food, energy, and resources globally for improvement in human and global health.
“The Planetary Health Meeting is a great opportunity for my group members to present their research at the intersection of climate and human health. My group members bring tools from the natural and environmental sciences to bear on public health challenges, and I am excited for them to present their research to this transdisciplinary and solutions-oriented gathering,” said Professor Daniel E. Horton, who is head of the Climate Change Research Group at Northwestern.
