Professor Megan Bang elected to National Academy of Education

Megan Bang, a Professor of the Learning Sciences and Psychology and active member in the Spencer Foundation, was one of 22 scholars in 2021 elected to the National Academy of Education.
The Academy is comprised of U.S. members and international associates, elected on the basis of outstanding education-related scholarship.
Bang focuses on teacher education, leadership preparation programs, and implementing better learning environments for the sciences. It is for her extensive work in learning sciences that she was elected to the National Academy of Education.
“This diverse group of scholars is at the forefront of those who are improving the lives of students in the United States and abroad through their outstanding contributions to education scholarship and research,”
Gloria Ladson-Billings, the President of the National Academy of Education, said.
