Professor Brian Hoffman was awarded the 2022 American Institute of Chemists Gold Medal.
The Gold Medal is the AIC’s highest award. First presented in 1926, it recognizes excellence, contributions to society through the application of scientific research, and contributions to the chemical/biochemical professions. Each year, the American Institute of Chemists confers the Gold Medal to a preeminent scientist at a joint ceremony with the Science History Institute during the festivities surrounding the Institute’s annual Heritage Day celebration.
