Northwestern’s Center for the Study of Diversity and Democracy launched a new business forum committed to discussing issues of diversity, equity and inclusion in international markets.
The program, spearheaded by political scientist and Northwestern professor Alvin B. Tillery Jr., aims to provide a private line of communication between researchers and corporate professionals, where they can collaborate on DEI initiatives.
According to Tillery,
“The forum will provide opportunities for Northwestern faculty and the leaders of the DEI functions in our member organizations to build relationships through thought partnership around some of the most challenging diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) issues facing corporations in the age of stakeholder capitalism.”
The forum already has six founding members, including Groupon, Nike, Meta and more, but Professor Tillery is looking to house at least 20 contributing companies by the start of 2023.
The organization will host its first virtual meeting on March 10 to discuss voting rights across the world.
